Farming is hell.

Marci knows this first-hand. She was raised on a farm and watched her parents work themselves to the bone each day. Never any time for fun stuff, though they tried. Feeding the animals and tending the crops were hard work, no matter how much they tried to put a positive spin on it. Marci hated living on the farm. Feeding the animals, cleaning the pens, watering the crops, weeding. It became so much fodder for her teen angst.

Until it was over. In a flash, no warning. Marci’s dad was struck by a meteorite, in a fluke accident, and he did not survive. This destroyed Marci’s mother and she became very depressed. She couldn’t handle the farm on her own and instead of selling it, she decided to play a dangerous game with a carnivorous plant. And lost.

Suddenly, Marci was on her own. Barely a teen, and she is alone. After all the bills were paid and the farm sold, Marci used the 20K to buy a simple 2 bedroom house for herself as far away from farm life as possible.

 

*This is going to be a Chaotic Alphabet Legacy, where each heiress’ name must start with a unique letter of the alphabet, but it doesn’t have to be in ABC order.
